Fugitive Task Forces

The Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) began operations in June of 2004 and was among the first Regional Fugitive Task Forces to become fully operational following the Presidential Threat Protection Act of 2000. The Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force has partnership agreements with over 100 federal, state, and local agencies and has 8 fully operational offices.

The Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force has successfully apprehended over 102,700 fugitives since its inception and has made an extraordinary impact on the apprehension of the region’s most dangerous and violent fugitives, always striving to make their communities safer.

The Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force (CRFTF) began operations in January of 2018 under the Presidential Threat Protection Act of 2000. The Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force (CRFTF) is the newest Regional Fugitive Task Force. With partnership agreements with over 70 federal, state, or local agencies and 11 fully operational offices, the Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force (CRFTF) have been able to successfully apprehend over 8,900 fugitives since inception. The Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force (CRFTF) has made an extraordinary impact on the apprehension of the region’s most dangerous and violent fugitives striving to make their communities a safer place.

The Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force (FCRFTF) began operations in July of 2008 following the Presidential Threat Protection Act of 2000. With partnership agreements with over 90 federal, state, or local agencies and 11 fully operational offices, the Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force (FCRFTF) have been able to successfully apprehend over 64,600 fugitives since inception. The Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force (FCRFTF), in cooperation with their partners, has made an extraordinary impact on the apprehension of the region’s most dangerous and violent fugitives making their communities and citizens safer.

The Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (GLRFTF) began operations in April of 2003 and was among the first Regional Fugitive Task Forces to become fully operational following the Presidential Threat Protection Act of 2000. The GLRFTF has partnership agreements with over 90 federal, state, and local agencies and has 7 fully operational offices. The Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force has successfully apprehended over 117,700 fugitives since its inception and has made an extraordinary impact on the apprehension of the region’s most dangerous and violent fugitives, always striving to make their communities safer. 

The Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) began operations in July of 2006 and was among the first Regional Fugitive Task Forces to become fully operational following the Presidential Threat Protection Act of 2000. The Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) has partnership agreements with over 61 federal, state, and local agencies and has 8 fully operational offices. The Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) has successfully apprehended over 70,800 fugitives since its inception and has made an extraordinary impact on the apprehension of the region’s most dangerous and violent fugitives, always striving to make their communities safer.

The New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force (NY/NJ RFTF) begun operations in April of 2002 and was the first Regional Fugitive Task Force to become fully operational following the Presidential Threat Protection Act of 2000. The NY/NJ RFTF was the flagship that has allowed seven other Regional Fugitive Task Forces to be created across the country. With partnership agreements with over 98 federal, state, or local agencies and 13 fully operational offices, the NY/NJ RFTF has been able to successfully apprehend over 101,900 fugitives since inception. The New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force has made an extraordinary impact on the apprehension of the region’s most dangerous and violent fugitives striving to make their communities safer.

The Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) began operations in April of 2002 under the Presidential Threat Protection Act of 2000. With partnership agreements with over 53 federal, state, or local agencies, the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) has been able to successfully apprehend over 105,900 fugitives since inception. The Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) has made an extraordinary impact on the apprehension of the region’s most dangerous and violent fugitives striving to make their communities and citizens safer.

The Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) began operations in June of 2003 and was among the first Regional Fugitive Task Forces to become fully operational following the Presidential Threat Protection Act of 2000. The Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force has partnership agreements with over 37 federal, state, and local agencies, and has 5 fully operational offices. The SERFTF has successfully apprehended over 45,700 fugitives since its inception and has made an extraordinary impact on the apprehension of the region’s most dangerous and violent fugitives, always striving to make their communities safer.
