U.S. Marshals Arrest Maine Man Accused of Sex Crimes in South Carolina

Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service, Maine Violent Offender Task Force announce the arrest of Kyle Eaton, 48, of Osborn, Maine.
Eaton was wanted by South Carolina authorities on two warrants issued on April 20th 2022, for Sex/Criminal Sexual Conduct with Minor-victim under 16 years of age, offender with previous record, and Sex/Criminal Sexual Conduct with Minor 3rd Degree-Commit/Attempt Lewd Act.
Through a collaborative effort, investigators determined that Eaton was living and working in Maine. U.S. Marshals were able to safely apprehend Eaton at his place of employment in in Amherst, Maine without incident. Eaton is charged in Maine as a fugitive from justice pending his extradition back to South Carolina.
The U.S. Marshals Service - Maine Violent Offender Task Force was assisted by the U.S. Marshals Service Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force, and the North Charleston Police Department in South Carolina.
U.S. Marshals Service Maine Violent Offender Task Force is comprised of members of the U.S. Marshals Service, Maine State Police, Maine Department of Corrections, Biddeford Police Department and U.S. Customs and Border Patrol.
