'Fugitive of the Week' Located in Nashua

Concord, NH – This morning, the United States Marshals Service – NH Joint Fugitive Task Force is reporting that last week’s featured “Fugitive of the Week” has been located.

Evan Mitchell Hollins, who also goes by “David” or “D”, 41 years-of-age, who was last known to be transient in Concord, NH, had been featured on July 6th as the “Fugitive of the Week.” Mr. Hollins was wanted on an arrest warrant for attempted murder, 1st degree assault, criminal threatening, and reckless conduct all while armed with a firearm. These charges stem from an incident during which Hollins is alleged to have shot a man on Duke Lane in Concord, NH during the early morning hours of July 2nd.

As part of this feature as the “Fugitive of the Week,” Mr. Hollins had been aired on WTPL-FM, WNTK-FM, WTSN-FM, WEMJ-FM, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, the Manchester Ink Link, the Rochester Voice and prominently featured on the internet. The “Fugitive of the Week” continues to be a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its creation in 2007. Additionally, the “Fugitive of the Week” was distributed statewide to all law enforcement officers in New Hampshire.

This morning, members of the U.S. Marshal’s, New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force developed information pointing to a residence on C Street in Nashua, NH. Members of the task force with the assistance of the Nashua and Concord Police Departments went to this apartment to locate and arrest Hollins. Mr. Hollins was located inside the residence in the walk-up attic. Hollins initially communicated with the task force but ultimately refused to surrender to law enforcement. Tragically, Mr. Hollins died by suicide.

Mr. Hollins was transported by ambulance to the Southern NH Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.

Since the inception of the U.S. Marshals - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 8,542 arrests (Updated as of 12/31/2021). These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 8 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
