U.S. Marshals Arrest Child Molester
For immediate release
Gavin Duffy, Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal
Spokane, WA – The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force today arrested a man wanted by the Spokane Police Department on felony warrants charging him with two counts of alleged child molestation in the first degree.
William Bruce Rennie, 67, is alleged to have fled the Spokane area to avoid arrest after the charges were filed.
The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force worked closely with Spokane Police Department and the Department of Veterans Affairs to locate Rennie and developed information that Rennie was hiding out in Gainesville, Georgia. A collateral lead was then sent to the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Atlanta. Within 18 hours of receiving the lead, U.S. Marshals Task Force in Atlanta members were able to positively identify Rennie and take him into custody without incident.
Rennie will be held in custody in Georgia pending extradition proceedings.
