Man Wanted for Child Pornography Charges From Florida Arrested by U.S. Marshals in Cleveland

For immediate release

Cleveland, OH – Today members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Coby Silcott, 24. Silcott was wanted by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Florida for 20 counts of possession of child pornography.

A warrant was issued for Silcott on September 16 after an investigation by Detectives at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators assigned to the U.S. Marshals led Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force were able to determine that Silcott fled Florida and was likely hiding out in northern Ohio. This afternoon, members of the NOVFTF located Silcott at a hotel in Middleburgh Heights, located in the 17500 block of Rosbough Dr. Silcott was arrested there without any incident, two cell phones were also seized following the arrest. Silcott was booked in to the Cuyahoga County Jail, where he will await his extradition back to Polk County in Winter Haven, Florida to face the charges against him.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “The U.S. Marshals Service will always protect the innocence and the rights of children. When innocent children are the victims of a heinous crime, our task force makes the fugitive investigation a top priority and we won’t stop pursuing these fugitives until they are behind bars.”
