Escapee From Lisbon Caught by U.S. Marshals in Youngstown

Youngstown, OH – The U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Ashley Croley (37) earlier this morning after being on the run for almost two months. Croley escaped from the Eastern Ohio Correction Center in Lisbon, OH on August 5, 2023. Upon escape, Croley immediately stole a car near the facility running over a man’s foot in the process.

On September 15, 2023, Croley was indicted in Columbiana County on charges of escape, grand theft of a motor vehicle, felonious assault, and vehicular assault. The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force was able to track Croley to Youngstown, OH and arrested her in the 100 block of E Judson. The NOVFTF also arrested Mark Heath, an associate of Croley, for obstruction of justice due to actions during the arrest. Both were transported to the Mahoning County Jail.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “Our task force and law enforcement partners did a great job staying with this case and ensuring the judicial process was carried out.”
