Dallas Murder Fugitive Arrested by U.S. Marshals in Memphis

Memphis, TN – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest of Dallas murder fugitive, Demario Montague, in Memphis.

On March 31, in Dallas, Texas, a subject was killed by being pushed from a moving car, and then struck by a semi-trailer truck.

On May 7, 2021 , authorities issued a murder arrest warrant for Demario Montague for this crime. The fugitive case was adopted by the U.S. Marshals Office in Dallas, TX.

Investigators with the Marshals in Dallas and the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force developed information that Montague was in Memphis, TN.

Earlier today, Montague was tracked to a residence in the 1900 block of Canterbury Court. Marshals and the Shelby County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Team located and arrested Montague without incident.

"The U.S. Marshals Service is proud of our nationwide communication and teamwork that enables us to locate and apprehended violent fugitives," said Marshal Tyreece Miller.

The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force in the Western District of Tennessee with offices in Memphis and Jackson. Its membership is composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and Special Agents with the Tennessee Department of Correction. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
