Las Cruces, NM – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) District of New Mexico (D/NM) Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) developed information on April 9, 2024, resulting in the arrest of a man in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, MX. The subject was wanted for his involvement in a homicide that took place in Mesilla, New Mexico on April 1, 2024.

Albuquerque, NM – On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, the United States Marshals Service (USMS) Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) located and arrested Clayton Allen Starr, 52, who was wanted out of Texas for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Assault of a Pregnant Person and Assault Causing Injury to a Child/Elderly/Disabled Person.

Albuquerque, NM – On September 21, 2023, the U.S. Marshals Service District of New Mexico – Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (USMS-SWIFT) arrested Steven Banda, 48, who was wanted out of Torrance County, NM for an open count of Murder, that occurred in Moriarty, NM on September 3, 2023.

Albuquerque, NM – U.S. Marshals in Texas today arrested a convicted New Mexico sex offender on the run nearly 10 months.

Gallup, NM – In April the U.S. Marshals began to aid state and local law enforcement with efforts to locate this missing/endangered juvenile, and on May 19, U.S. Marshals in the Farmington and Santa Fe offices developed information that the juvenile was still in Gallup and responded to the location.

Hobbs, N.M. – On Thursday, January 19, the United States Marshals Service District of New Mexico – Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (USMS-SWIFT) in collaboration with the Lea County Drug Task Force, and the Lea County Sheriff’s Office captured a fugitive wanted for a federal warrant in Hobbs.

Albuquerque, NM –  On Tuesday, January 10, the United States Marshals Service District of New Mexico – Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (USMS-SWIFT) captured a fugitive at a motel, in Northeast Albuquerque. 

Brandon Sanchez, 29, was wanted for a federal probation violation, with the underlying charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. 

Albuquerque, NM – Joseph MacDonald was arrested in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after the United States Marshals Service (USMS) South West Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) was contacted by the Eastern District of Missouri (St. Louis) United States Marshals Service.
