Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), Maine Violent Offender Task Force (MVOTF) announces the arrest of Raymond Sylvester, 79, in Portland, Maine.

According to New Hampshire authorities, an arrest warrant was issued for Sylvester on June 01, 2024, for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender out of Concord, New Hampshire.

Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), Maine Violent Offender Task Force (MVOTF) announces the arrest of Samuel Linkert, 42, in Portland, Maine. According to Minnesota authorities, an arrest warrant was issued for Linkert on December 13, 2022, for Criminal Sexual Conduct in the First Degree out of St. Louis County, Minnesota.

Bangor, ME — A Florida man was arrested in Bangor, ME today by the U.S. Marshals Service Maine Violent Offender Task Force (MVOTF) for failing to register as a sex offender.

Force (MVOTF) announces the arrest of Patrick Byrne, 29, in Livermore Falls, Maine.
According to Colorado authorities, an arrest warrant was issued for Byrne on November 04, 2024, for two counts of sexual exploitation of a child out of Bloomfield County Court in
Colorado.

Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), Maine Violent Offender Task Force (MVOTF) announce the arrest of David Ryan, 60, in Dixfield, Maine. According to authorities, in June of 2024, the Manchester, New Hampshire Police Department sought an arrest warrant for Ryan for the charge of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault (Pattern).

Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) in Maine, announce the arrest of multiple Massachusetts fugitives in the towns of Madison and Skowhegan, Maine.

Lawson was arrested yesterday in Bangor, Maine by members of the U.S. Marshals, Maine Violent Offender Task Force on a warrant issued from the State of Connecticut, charging him with 1st degree Manslaughter.

Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) in Maine announces the arrest of Nakoma Polches, 42, of Indian Township, ME.

Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), Maine Violent Offender Task Force (MVOTF) announces the arrest of Aziayh Scott, 23, of Hammond, Louisiana.

Scott was arrested in New Orleans, Louisiana, on a warrant issued from the State of Maine, charging Scott with Manslaughter in connection with the death of a 22 month-old child back in May of 2024 in Maine.

Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), Maine Violent Offender Task Force (MVOTF) announce the arrest of Robert Clark, 36, in Winthrop, ME.

Clark was arrested on a warrant for federal charges originating from the District of Oregon. The charges included Felon in possession of a firearm and theft of a firearm from a licensee.

Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service, Maine Violent Offender Task Force and the Wells Police Department announce the arrest of Emanuel Diggs, 22, of Wells, Maine. Diggs had a State warrant issued for his arrest for Attempted Murder on December 10th and was safely apprehended last night on December 11th, 2023.

Portland/Bangor, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service, District of Maine, is alerting the public of a significant increase in Maine residents reporting a phone scam involving individuals claiming to be U.S. Marshals or other Federal Officials. These scams are also occurring in other New England States.
