Marshals in West and East Tennessee Coordinate to Arrest an Escapee in Chattanooga

Memphis, TN – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest of the second of three male juveniles who had escaped from the Wilder Youth Development Center in Somerville, Tennessee.
The captured 17-year-old juvenile was being held at that facility on a charge of Homicide. He escaped on June 23, 2021 along with the other two juveniles. Earlier today, he was captured without incident in Chattanooga, Tennessee by the U.S. Marshals Smokey Mountain Fugitive Task Force.
The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force continues to search for the last of the escaped juveniles. Another of the escapees was caught by the Two Rivers Task Force on June 24. He was being held on four charges of Aggravated Robbery.

"Two of the juveniles are safely in custody," said Marshal Tyreece Miller. "We are working diligently to capture the third."
The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force in the Western District of Tennessee with offices in Memphis and Jackson. Its membership is composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and Special Agents with the Tennessee Department of Correction. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
