Philadelphia, PA – Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force arrested Khadir Blue, 27, for murder and Pennsylvania State Parole Violations, at approximately 1:30 p.m. in Chester Pennsylvania on December 3rd. The arrest was made in relation to an incident which occurred January 4th, 2017, in the 5800 block of Thompson Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After a verbal argument, Blue shot a 29 year old male in the neck and then fled the scene. After a thorough investigation by members of the Philadelphia Homicide Unit, a warrant was issued for Blue on January 18th, 2017. The case was referred to members of the Eastern Pennsylvania U.S. Marshal’s Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force located in Philadelphia and in September 2018, Blue was featured as a Pennsylvania State Police "10 Most Wanted" fugitive.
After receiving an anonymous tip, members of the Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Chester Police, and Delaware County Criminal Investigative Division (CID) investigators surrounded a residence in the 2900 block of West 12th Street in Chester, Pennsylvania where they believed Blue to be hiding. After Marshals knocked and announced their presence, Blue attempted to jump from a rear window but was quickly challenged by investigators surrounding the property. Marshals then entered the residence and after a brief struggle, Blue was placed into custody. Recovered in close proximity to Blue, investigators recovered a loaded semi-automatic .45 caliber handgun. Blue was transported to the Philadelphia Homicide Detective Division for processing. It is believed the residence belongs to a male associate of Blue. Eric Gartner, U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania stated, "Once again, exceptional teamwork and persistence has resulted in the safe capture of a Pennsylvania State Police Top-10 violent fugitive. Special thanks to those members of the public who continue to show their resolve in helping keep our communities safe."
