U.S. Marshals Arrest Violent Fugitive in Wells, Maine

Portland, ME - The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Maine Violent Offender Task Force and Biddeford Police Department announce the arrest of Michael Scott, 41, of Wells, Maine.

Scott was wanted by the Biddeford Police Department on a warrant issued on December 27, 2022, by the York County Superior Court charging Scott with Elevated Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Domestic Violence Assault.

Through a collaborative effort, investigators determined that Scott was believed to be evading authorities in the Southern Maine area. Authorities were able to safely apprehend Scott at an address in Wells, Maine without incident.

The USMS Maine Violent Offender Task Force was assisted by the Biddeford Police Department, Wells Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). The U.S. Marshals Service Maine Violent Offender Task Force is comprised of members of the U.S. Marshals Service, Maine State Police, Maine Department of Corrections, Biddeford Police Department and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
