U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Arrest Man Wanted for Rape of Two Children

Scranton, PA – Today, United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Zion Isom, a 22- year-old New York City man wanted by the Stroud Area Regional Police Department.
On February 24th, 2022, the Stroud Area Regional Police Department investigated a report of sexual assaults in the Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg areas of Monroe County, PA. As a result of their investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Isom with multiple counts of Rape of a Child and related offenses. Attempts to find him were unsuccessful, and the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force was asked to apprehend him.
Today at approximately 5:30 a.m., members of the task force arrested Isom in the 1100 block of Fulton Avenue in Bronx, New York. Isom was returned to Pennsylvania and is being held at the Monroe County Correctional Facility.
United States Marshal Pane stated, "If you prey on the innocent, this fugitive task force will ensure you have your day in court. It is my sincere hope that the victims and their families will find some measure of comfort knowing this suspect will face justice."
The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania is comprised of 22 state, county, and local police agencies, including: the Pennsylvania State Police; the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections; and the Scranton Police Department – all of whom participated in this investigation.
