U.S. Marshals Looking for Escapee Charged with Homicide

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force is assisting the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and leading the fugitive investigation for a man who escaped police custody at the George Washington University Hospital Wednesday afternoon.
Christopher Patrick Haynes, 30, had been arrested earlier Wednesday and charged with homicide.
Haynes is a Black man with a medium brown complexion, stands 6 feet and weighs approximately 205 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen at approximately 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of 23rd Street, Northwest. He was wearing a black T-shirt and gray shorts.
The MPD, the FBI and the U.S. Marshals are offering a combined reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to Haynes’ arrest.
Anyone with information on Haynes’ whereabouts is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099.
