Austin, TX – The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested three murder suspects in a five-day span from May 9 -14.

The Austin Police Department requested assistance from the LSFTF to locate and apprehend three suspects sought in a homicide, following an investigation conducted by the Austin Police-Homicide Unit.

Springfield, IL – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (GLRFTF), in conjunction with the Midwest Violent Fugitive Task Force (MWVFTF), arrested in Branson, Missouri, May 11 a serial rapist who has been on the run since he posted bail in 2000 and failed to appear for a court hearing in Moultrie County.

Baltimore, MD – The U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF), District of Maryland, and Anne Arundel County Police Department collaborated with the Baltimore City Police Department to recover a critically missing juvenile in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Baltimore, MD.

Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), Maine Violent Offender Task Force (MVOTF) announce the arrest of Robert Clark, 36, in Winthrop, ME.

Clark was arrested on a warrant for federal charges originating from the District of Oregon. The charges included Felon in possession of a firearm and theft of a firearm from a licensee.

Atlanta, GA –  The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) announces the arrest of wanted fugitive Kaylon Adams, 32. Adams was wanted by the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office for aggravated murder, felonious assault, improperly discharging a firearm into a habilitation and having a weapon under disability.

Humboldt, TN – A coordinated fugitive investigation by U.S. Marshals in Florida and Tennessee has led to the arrest of Lawrence LaPlante, 68, in Humboldt, Tennessee who wanted for violating sex offender laws in Florida.

Memphis, TN - Vontabious Echols was apprehended earlier today by U.S. Marshals on charges of First Degree Murder.

The arrest stems from an investigation conducted by the Memphis Police Department on April 19, 2024, following a shooting incident in the 2100 block of Alcy Road in Memphis.

Memphis, TN – Joseph Brown, 32, was apprehended today in Mississippi by U.S. Marshals for charges of Aggravated Kidnapping and Domestic Assault.

Members of the news media will be allowed limited access to the memorial services for slain Deputy U.S. Marshal Thomas M. “Tommy” Weeks Jr., who was fatally shot by a wanted fugitive April 29, 2024. A designated area inside the arena will be available for reporters and camera operators. A U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) photographer will provide official photographs to the media.

Baltimore, MD – The U.S. Marshals Service and task force partners in the District of Maryland are initiating a large-scale, public safety initiative. ‘Operation Silver Shield’ is a 90-day interagency operation designed to improve public safety by targeting non-compliant sex offenders and fugitives wanted for associated offense conduct.

Memphis, TN – Two male juveniles, both aged 17, wanted for separate murders in 2023 and 2024 were captured by U.S. Marshals within two hours.

Greenbelt, MD – The U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) partnered with the Greenbelt Police Department, and other federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to track down and apprehend two juveniles wanted in connection with a shooting that injured five people in Schrom Hills Park on Aril 19.

Memphis, TN – On May 1, 2024, U.S. Marshals successfully apprehended Breanna Williams for First Degree Murder, Abuse of a Corpse, Especially Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Robbery, and Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Robbery for a 2019 homicide.

Jackson, TN – On April 30, 2024, U.S. Marshals captured a West Tennessee man in North Mississippi who was wanted for a deadly hit and run in Jackson, Tennessee.

Cleveland, OH – Today, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Kevin Wright, 20, who was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder.

Clarksburg, WV – A Mannington man who was wanted in Harrison County has been arrested in Mannington, WV.

Detroit, MI - The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force is seeking information leading to the whereabouts of Daniel Lamar Franklin of Ypsilanti. Franklin is wanted by Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) on homicide charges relating to a tragic event that occurred earlier this year.

Akron, OH – This afternoon, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Isaiah McKinney, 19. McKinney was wanted by the Akron Police Department for murder.

WASHINGTON – A Deputy U.S. Marshal assigned to the Western District of North Carolina and supporting the Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force was one of four officers killed April 29 as the task force attempted to serve an arrest warrant on a fugitive in Charlotte, North Carolina.
