U.S. Marshals arrest more than 75,000 fugitives in 2022
DescriptionWashington, D.C. – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested 75,846 fugitives (28,324 on federal and 47,522 on state and local warrants) in Fiscal Year 2022. On average, the agency arrested 303 fugitives per day (based on 250 operational days).
That number breaks down as follows:

Andre McCoy, Wanted for Death of 4-Year-Old Boy, Has Been Arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service
DescriptionYoungstown, OH – Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Andre McCoy, 22. McCoy has been wanted since March 25, 2021, when he was indicted on charges of aggravated murder, attempted murder, felonious assault, and aggravated burglary, all with firearms specifications.

U.S. Marshals Task Force Apprehends Fugitive
DescriptionHobbs, N.M. – On Thursday, January 19, the United States Marshals Service District of New Mexico – Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (USMS-SWIFT) in collaboration with the Lea County Drug Task Force, and the Lea County Sheriff’s Office captured a fugitive wanted for a federal warrant in Hobbs.

Endangered Missing Henry County Girl Found Safe in Cleveland
DescriptionCleveland, OH – Earlier today the U.S. Marshals Service Missing Child Unit (USMS MCU) and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) were able to locate and recover Elena Kalvitz (8), an endangered and missing child from Henry County, OH. The child was recovered safe in the 3400 block of W 95th St. in Cleveland after a search began yesterday afternoon.
