Washington, D.C. – During the month of June, the U.S. Marshals Service’s Superior and District Courts, and the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, partnered with several agencies to lead Operation North Star D.C., a national initiative focused on the investigation and arrest of violent fugitives operating within the Washington D.C. area.
New Orleans, LA – Operation North Star, a nation-wide U.S. Marshals Service operation focused on violent crime reduction, was conducted in 10 cities (Chicago, Washington D.C., New York City, Memphis, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Houston, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, and Baltimore) over a 30-day period, spanning the month of June.

Philadelphia, PA – Members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force, arrested MarlonCooper,18, in relation to a shooting which occurred on August 7th, 2021,in the 1200 block of Cover Lane in Chester, PA. A warrant for criminal homicide was issued for Cooper in January 2022. Cooper then became a fugitive, and the U.S.

The three are wanted by the Akron Police Department for the fatal beating of Ethan Liming, 17 yrs, outside the I Promise School in Akron on June 2, 2022.
