WASHINGTON – The Justice Department today announced that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested 3,421 violent fugitives, including 216 for homicide, 803 for assault and 482 for weapons offenses, during the latest phase of its high-impact fugitive apprehension initiative called Operation North Star FY 2024 (ONS FY24).

Jackson, TN – U.S. Marshals (USMS) captured a Texas fugitive wanted since 2019 in Jackson, TN.

William Kelly Rhodes, 49, who has ties to Jackson, was convicted of possession of dangerous drugs and felony tampering with physical evidence, and subsequently was sentenced to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Parole Division.

San Juan, PR – The U.S. Marshals Service Puerto Rico Violent Offenders Task Force (PRVOTF), acting on a lead from the District of Massachusetts, apprehended Sept. 17 a woman wanted in Massachusetts on charges of kidnapping and endangering a minor by a relative. 

Canton, OH – Over the past two weeks members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) have been working to locate and arrest fugitives wanted for domestic violence and assaults in the Canton, Ohio area.  

Spokane, WA – Over the past two days, the United States Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force successfully located and apprehended three fugitives with prior sex offense convictions.

Baltimore, MD – The United States Marshals (USMS) Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF), in coordination with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) located and safely arrested, a man, August 29, 2024, for armed robbery.      

Spokane, WA – The United States Marshals Service (USMS) Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force (PNVOTF) arrested Ervin Mefiboset Molina-Jordan, 27. Molina-Jordan was apprehended around E Mission Ave and N Bates Rd with the assistance of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, and the United States Border Patrol.

The United States Marshals Service (USMS) celebrates annually National Police Woman Day. National Police Woman Day is celebrated on September 12th and it recognizes the contributions of past and current law enforcement officers.

Youngstown, OH –  Earlier this morning, members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Brandon T. Kennedy, 31. Kennedy was wanted by the Youngstown Police Department for aggravated vehicular homicide and aggravated vehicular assault.

Columbus, OH – The U.S. Marshals arrested fugitive Derrick Faison last evening in Madison, Wisconsin.

Akron, OH – U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the U.S. Marshals led ‘Operation Homecoming.’  

Las Cruces, NM – Two children abducted by their mother in 2023 and taken to Mexico were safely returned to the U.S. yesterday.

San Juan, PR – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Puerto Rico Violent Offenders Task Force, working with the USMS Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force Orlando Division, Sept. 5 arrested a man wanted by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office in Florida for a premeditated murder stemming from a shooting incident Aug. 24 in Kissimmee, Florida.

Sandusky, OH – Earlier this afternoon, members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Le’ceeonna White, 21.  White was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder.

Cleveland, OH – Earlier this morning, members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Donald Mynatt, 32.  Mynatt was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for the August 16 hit and run death of a young boy.

New Orleans, LA – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Eastern District of Louisiana is alerting the public of a continuing imposter phone scam where con artists are spoofing the district office’s real number to trick people into sending payments.

Jackson, TN – U.S. Marshals and the Jackson Police Department arrested a teen charged in the attempted robbery and deadly shooting of a man in a Jackson housing complex.
